Vegas!

For Weston's spring break we decided to head to a warmer area. I've been to Vegas a few times, since Heather and Richard have lived there, but he hadn't been there. We took off Friday night and stayed with dad in a hotel in Salt Lake, as he was there for a conference. We went out to our favorite, La Frontera, to eat and had a relaxing night. The next morning we took off for Vegas.
We met Heather and her family in Vegas and decided to start our night at the Venecian. We wanted to try to see Phantom of the Opera with Richard's student discount, but tried not to get our hopes up because in the past he hasn't been able to get discount tickets. To our surprise he was able to get 2 tickets for us and that night we saw Phantom of the Opera. That's something I've always wanted to do. Along with being with family for our vaccation that was probably the highlight of our trip. That stage is built only for phantom. They don't do any other musicals or plays there. We had a live orchestra, fog, water... the whole works. It was awesome! We also had alot of fun eating out at a buffet for quite cheap. Of course, everything's much better when it's cheaper!!
Another fun thing we did that none of us had done before was go to the dolphin and tiger habitat. I've never seen a dolphin before, so that was neat. There were white tigers that were so beautiful and a little baby leapord that a lady was training. I'll admit, we were all starting to get a little worried for her when the leapord seemed to get out of control! We saw the garden that gets changed every couple of months, which was beatiful, but not quite finished. We also went to the Bass Pro Shops and saw a big tank of fish that were all very colorful. At the MGM we got to see Lions that people went in and layed with! He could have eaten this guy in 2 bites!
We also enjoyed playing tennis in the warm weather! The park that Heather takes the kids to has new tennis coarts, so we enjoyed those. It's always entertaining to play tennis with Kai and his cute little, "Weston Had-wock get the ball, Weston Had-wock watch me! Weston Had-wock catch this!" He's so much fun! In our spare time we watched movies, ate lots of food (thanks to the government!) and had fun with Heather, Richard and the kids. What a fun vacation!
